The Bungie Armour is an Armor Permutation only available to Bungie Studios employees [1]. The armor resembles heavily the EOD Armor except the flaming helmet.
Trivia
- In contrast to the Recon Armor, which for a time was believed to be a Bungie-only armor set, the Bungie armor will not be given out to anyone outside the company. As a con, however, the flaming head is still visible even when in Active Camo, negating its usefulness. This could lead to many frustrating deaths, especially during invisibility-related games.
- There is a joke among fans that a cloaked wearer would resemble a campfire, especially on maps such as Valhalla or Standoff.
- Bungie is also advertising it on their website with a logo "Get hired, get fire".
- The appearance of a flaming head is probably another reference to flaming ninjas, which Bungie commonly refers to.
- The only physical difference from the EOD chest armor is the lack of LED lights on it.
- When Bungie was asked, "Since Frankie left does he still have his Flaming Helmet?" it was replied with, "The flame has been extinguished".
- It is unknown what program (Hayabusa or MJOLNIR) the armor belongs to; however, it's speculated to be non-canon as it is purely for decoration and doesn't make any logical sense for Spartans to wear.
- It may also be referred to as E.O.B. (Employee Of Bungie) armor.
- Once killed, the fire on top of the player who has the flaming headpiece extinguishes, similar to Flaming zombies or Ghost Rider.
- the flames make the player much more visible to snipers, so this armour is not very useful tactically.
