The MJOLNIR 'Scout' Variant.

The Scout Armor is a type of United Nations Space Command body armor.

Introduction

The Scout is a variant of the standard Mark VI MJOLNIR powered battle armor. The armor uses advance materials to give it stealth attributes. It is an armor permutation in Halo 3 multiplayer, and like all armor permutations it has no effect on gameplay.

Development and History

The SCOUT and RECON projects were run as parallel projects intended to develop a single variant of the Mjolnir Powered Assualt Armor with stealth capabilities with no impact on endurance; however, the SCOUT variant relies more heavily on advanced materials. It was tested at ONI's Ordnance Testing Facility B5D at Swanbourne, Perth, Australia.

Characteristics

Helmet Characteristics

It features a 'cap' like protrusion along its rim, a beak-like protrusion under the chin, and a thin, slit-shaped visor.

Shoulder Characteristics

It's shoulder pads are similar to the original marines from Halo CE however they are switched around and in the shape of an A.

Chest Characteristics

The chest plate is similar to the EVA and the CQB in that it is merely an attachment. It is an H shaped plate over the upper torso and a pair of articulated plates attached to its bottom.

Trivia

  • In the official Halo 3 strategy guide it lists that the shoulders are unlocked by unlocking the We’re in for some Chop acheivement. This is however incorrect.
