UNSCMID

Template:Ratings UNSCMID, presumably short for "UNSC Military Identification," is a numerical identification assigned to members of the UNSC armed forces. Very similar, but apparently not equivalent, to the Service Number, the UNSCMID consists of seven, eight, or nine numbers, and is unique for every soldier. It is unclear why UNSCMID is used sometimes while Service Numbers are used the rest of the time, however both identifications are used in the same book, confirming that they are two separate systems.
