Warrant Officer

A Warrent Officer is a military officer, usually a skilled technician or a helicopter pilot, intermediate in rank between a noncommissioned officer and a commissioned officer, having authority by virtue of a warrant. However(in the U.S. Armed Forces) a Warrent Officer is an officer of one of four grades ranking above enlisted personnel and below commissioned officers.
