Template:ArticleName Template:Multiplayer Map Infobox "Epitiah" is a multiplayer map, which appears to be planned for Halo 3's release. Currently, little is known about it. However, it is known that the map will not be included in the public Halo 3 Beta. So far, it has only appeared in leaked videos, with no official footage or confirmation having been released by Bungie. As such, it is not certain that it will appear in the final game.

Summary

This map made an appearance in a recent video leak. Very little about it was revealed by the leak, but it gave us the first look at gameplay with the M6G Pistol and Radar Scrambler. It also gave us a look at the new sniper rifle. The brief video's poor quality makes it difficult to obtain much detail, but it seems that "Epitiah" is a larger, indoor map, suitable for about 10 players.

Behind the scenes

  • As "Epitiah" is not a word, it is likely that it is a misspelling of Epitaph. However, in the absence of any real evidence, it will be called "Epitiah" until further notice from Bungie.

Trivia

  • It is not clear if the map's concept is completely original or not.
  • It may be another adaptation of Hang 'Em High/Tombstone, if its name truly is "Epitaph". (An epitaph is an inscription on a tombstone.)
  • It has been suggested that the map is a spiritual successor to Lockout; the similarities are subtle, but do exist.
  • It is also possible that the map is an heir to Gemini, but this is less likely.
  • This map marked the first appearance of the M6G Pistol.
  • A new piece of equipment, the Radar Scrambler, was first seen on this map.
  • This map appears to be similar to the map in the H3 Multiplayer Vidoc, which was speculated to be a "Gephyrophobia Remake" or a "Forerunner Castle" until Bungie stated that it was neither.
