A Covenant light Amplifier is a device that has been encountered by UNSC troops when assaulting Covenant encampments and sometimes ships. The Covenant simply use these light amplifiers to increase visibility in low light environments and locations which feature dense terrain. These would have been portable enough for the troops to be able to move them from camp to camp or to ship.
