MediaWiki talk:Sitenotice

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

What is this?

What is posted here goes at the top of every article. It was recently used to announce the migration of halopedia.org to halo.wikia.com. --Dragonclaws 07:35, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
It can also be use for any kind of site-wide announcements relavent to all of Halopedia, but it tends to mess up templates, so we only use it on occasion. -ED 20:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
So if you dismiss it, can you...undismiss it? Peace. I'm On Fire! Unfreakinbelievable-2.jpg FeedTheFlame WatchMySmoke 23:17, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
I don't think so... unless you clear your cookies. That'll sign you out, but it will "undismiss" it. güéߣ¥-πéҐøñ¥-ħîИg¥ 23:33, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
But I don't want to toss my cookies :(. Peace. I'm On Fire! Unfreakinbelievable-2.jpg FeedTheFlame WatchMySmoke 23:49, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
The only way to fix it is clearing your cookies. :-) Cheers, RelentlessRecusant 'o the Halopedia Team Fleet_Admiral.jpg TALKSPEAK 00:01, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
You only need to delete your Halopedia cookie, which should be relatively easy to find. --DEMONSPAWNED 22:27, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

YOU shouldn't need to undismiss it... it should only be undismissed when changed. To all Halopedia admins: to undismiss it, increase the number at MediaWiki:Sitenotice id by 1. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 18:48, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Era

Now that the era template is in use, we should be careful that the "dismiss" button does not become hidden. This isn't the case now, but perhaps it could be an issue with only one line. --Dragonclaws(talk) 20:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't think it is an issue now anyway. --DEMONSPAWNED 22:28, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Spoilers

I strongly object to posting leaked spoilers of such importance before the actual game comes out. --Dragonclaws(talk) 21:08, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Agreed, it would just not be a nice thing to do. --DEMONSPAWNED 21:38, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
