Rene was conscripted into the SPARTAN-II Program in 2517. Rene is not as well known as the Spartans such as John-117 or Linda-058. When the time came for the Spartan augmentations she became crippled and could not fight anymore. Crippled during surgical enhancements she was last known to be floating in a neural buoyancy gel tank, with her skeletal system twisted beyond recognition. The last time she was seen, was on the UNSC Carrier Atlas. Her current where abouts are unknown. [1]
