The Pious Inquisitor[3] was a Covenant vessel of unspecified classification reputed to be "one of the fastest ships" in the Covenant Navy.
Description
The Pious Inquisitor saw action at the Battle of Earth. In Halo 2, the multiplayer level Midship is located in an unspecified section of this vessel. Described as typically luxurious for a Covenant warship, some have speculated that the vessel may have been the Prophet of Regret's flagship.Template:Fact However, judging on the vessels seen outside of Heretic, this may be unlikely. First of all, only two assault carriers attack Earth in Halo 2. The first is destroyed. The second, Regret's ship, continues to Earth. There are two assault carriers seen outside Heretic, thus making it impossible that Pious Inquisitor is Regret's flagship. Evidence that supports this is that the fleet is traveling past Saturn, the first time Covenant had entered the Sol System.
Though it is unknown where the location of the map is, it is a commonly thought to be either in the Bridge or the Engine room. It is more likely the former, for the layout of the room in similar to the Truth and Reconciliation's bridge. As the ship is said to be luxurious, the hovering platform in the center of the room may be the control platform.
Trivia
