The Lotus Anti-Tank Mine is a UNSC explosive ordnance. Lotus Anti-Tank Mines are used to defend an area by seeding the surrounding area with such sensitive mines. Although most Covenant vehicles hover over them, they are activated by motion, not pressure, and so make an extremely effective form of suppression for all infantry and vehicles. It is powerful enough to tear through a Scorpion Tank in one blast, but proved useless against the Onyx Sentinels' powerful golden shield. [1][2] The mines can also be used against infantry, as seen in the Battle of Jericho VII[3]
Note: This land mine is completely different from the Trip Mine found in Halo 3, although many believe they are one and the same. Also is different from the Assault Bomb, although many believe they might be identical, as the latter says "anti-tank" on the side and has enough power to destroy a tank.
