The Fleet of Recalcitrant Ire was a Sangheili-led fleet.[3] It was led by Fleetmaster Arkad Nar 'Kulul.[2]

History[edit]

A New Fleetmaster[edit]

During the time of the Covenant, the Fleet of Recalcitrant Ire was given to then-Shipmaster Arkad 'Kulul as a reward for exposing and eliminating a faction of heretics who targeted Yonhet couriers bound for High Charity with recovered relics. While under 'Kulul's command, the fleet was stationed in Covenant frontier space, acting as administrative oversight for the species of the Covenant fringe. As a result, the fleet saw little action against humanity during the War of Annihilation.[1]

Post-war[edit]

At some point in 2553, the Fleet had come to own a base on the swamp-moon of Kostroda. Forces of the Banished struck the outpost while portions of the Fleet were in orbit. The Banished including Atriox were captured and taken to the Enduring Conviction. In the meeting, Atriox convinced the Shipmaster Let 'Volir to abandon the Fleet and join the Banished.[3][4][2][5]

Following 'Volir’s defection, Fleetmaster 'Kulul pledged his fleet to Thel 'Vadam and the Swords of Sanghelios. Prior to the Created uprising, the fleet was given charge to protect valuable resource worlds, along with aiding the transportation of Ussan refugees to Sanghelios.[1]

Composition[edit]

The Fleet was composed of at least two Syfon-pattern assault carriers, with one serving as Arkad Nar 'Kulul's flagship, and the other being the Enduring Conviction. The bulk of the fleet however, was made of of at least four Sinaris-pattern heavy destroyers, at least twelve Ket-pattern battlecruisers, Seven unknown types of Warships, as well as a complement of Seraphs and Elsedda-pattern Banshees.[2]
