Usage

Role(s):

Sportscar[2]

The MLX is a human luxury sportscar.[2]

Design details[edit]

With a small frame, MLX seats only a driver and one passenger.[1] This vehicle has a highly modifiable chassis suspended on two independent suspension axles.[2] Despite the claims of both vehicles' respective manufacturers, the MLX and Überchassis have similar capabilities,[3] though the MLX is particularly renowned for its high speed and good suspension.[1]

Development history[edit]

In its nearly forty-year production lifespan, the MLX has developed a fervent cult following. Factory-supported motorsport teams that utilized the MLX have routinely stood atop the podiums of several different 26th century sportscar racing series. The vehicle is extremely sought after by modern hot-rodders.[2]

Usage[edit]

On Harvest in 2524, Felicia Sanderson's father pressured her into enlisting with the Colonial Military Authority after she stole an MLX and went out joyriding.[4] MLXs were quite popular in the city of Mombasa on Earth in 2552.[5]

Gameplay[edit]

Halo 2[edit]

Like the Überchassis, the MLX is seen in the Halo 2 campaign levels Outskirts and Metropolis. It is not accessible in-game, but can be destroyed with sufficient weapons fire, making it a possible hazard for units within the blast radius. As a civilian vehicle, the car is lightly armored. It only takes one M7 SMG magazine, or a grenade blast to completely destroy the vehicle.
