Operation (Halo Infinite)

An Operation in Halo Infinite is a special content update, introduced in Season 05: Reckoning. [1]
Overview
Operations in Halo Infinite are extremely similar to their predecessors, Events. Operations feature free 20-tier passes, with a premium upgrade alongside it. Each Operation lasts anywhere from four to six weeks. Operation passes are featured alongside the main season’s battle pass. Once the four to six week period ends, the Operation is made available in the Store for purchase.[1]

Winter Update
Upon its release, the Winter Update was treated as an interim season to bridge the gap between Season 2 and 3. With the introduction of Operations, the Winter Update has retroactively been classified as an Operation.
