The Brahman light hauler is a classification of cargo ship developed by the Oros Trading Company and used by humanity.[1] Alongside the Markhors heavy lifter, they serve as cargo lifters in the role of "mules" - bare-boned and rugged haulers explicitly designed to operate in hostile environments on the frontier of human colonisation.[2]

Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

In their role as "mules", Brahmans are built to be rugged and hardy - designed to endure hostile atmospheric and exoatmospheric conditions on frontier colonies at the periphery of human space.[2] The Brahman is considered hardy, but nimble, making it ideal for use as a light hauler and utility craft among the colonies.[1] They are capable of loading up to four cargo pods, and have two gimballed fusion drives mounted at the aft of the vehicle.[3]

Operational history[edit]

Due to their rugged characteristics, Brahman haulers are common on the glassed surface of the Outer Colony of Meridian, undergoing reterraformation by the Liang-Dortmund Corporation.[1] This included usage at Pinnacle Station, Meridian Station,[4] and Darkstar Station.[5] After Meridian was attacked by Promethean forces under the control of the Warden Eternal and a Guardian was activating near the world's settlements, Meridian's citizens evacuated the moon in Brahman light haulers.[6]

Trivia[edit]

Like many other human vehicles, the Brahman light hauler is named after an animal, specifically the Brahman, a breed of cattle.
