- Sometime prior to August 26, a civilian engineer submits schematics to the UNSC as part of Project MAGNES, illustrating a concept for a device allowing for the rapid mass manipulation of heavy objects. The UNSC rejects the proposal, leading to the engineer deciding to build a prototype of the Grappleshot herself.[2]
- The Strident-class heavy frigate is introduced.[11]
