Elysium City

Summary
Elysium city is located on Planet Eridanus II and was the city in which John-117 grew up, before he was chosen for the Spartan-II project and replaced with a flash-clone. John originally attended school at [[|Elysium City Primary Education Facility Number 119|Elysium City Primary Education Facility No. 119]], where he met Dr. Halsey and Jacob Keyes. The school had a substantial playground, including Gravball courts, and a grassy hill were John-117 played King of the hill.
Very little is known about the city itself, or John's past in the city, but Elysium has strong links with the trends of the Halo series, especially through it's name. "Elysium" was a Latinization of the Greek word "Elysion," a word to describe a paradise where heroes and warriors went after death. It can be likened to the modern concept of heaven.
