the covenant is a species of aliens that exist throughout the galaxy. they range from small grunts to large hunters. the U.N.S.C. lost contact with one of their ships and sent a fleet to find it. one ship returned to earth and reported a ship of aliens that had almost destroyed their ships. it was a strong cruiser that killed all of their ships.
