"Spartan" is a SPARTAN-IV supersoldier who arrived at the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science as part of a new wave of Spartan-IV's to replenish their ranks.[2]

Biography

Arrival at the Academy

As part of a new wave of Spartan-IV's to replenish their ranks,[2] "Spartan" was chosen by Spartan Commander Laurette Agryna. Shortly after the UNSC Infinity went missing in December 2559; alongside Page, Eusebio, Leung, Ionescu, this Spartan arrived at the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science where Spartan Commander Laurette Agryna ordered them to orient themselves at the academy. During the orientation, the Spartan acquired the Personal AI BUTLR that proceeded to help them throughout the rest of the orientation. At the end of the orientation, the Spartan competed alongside the Spartans they arrived with and according to Agryna they "did good. Really good in fact."[1]

Helping Spartan Dinh

At some point, a Eklon'dal Workshop Phantom started to send out a "Medical Emergency", this caused Laurette Agryna and this Spartan to arrive at landing pad to meet who sent this message. When the Phantom arrived, the occupants Spartan Sigrid Eklund and the incapacitated Hieu Dinh departed immediately to explain their predicament where the Banished Artificial intelligence Iratus entered the suit.[3] This lead to Agryna enacting a plan to upload the Banished facility on Camber that Eklund and Dinh was at into the War Games simulations, open the door for Iratus, and to have Spartans do exercises on the map to try and annoy Iratus to leave Dinh and go after the "Spartan".[4]

After a few simulations, Iratus took the bait that the "Spartan" opened up, leading to it being locked up in a Office of Naval Intelligence computer.[4] This lead to Sigrid Eklund being thankful to "Spartan", and asked them to show how they can perform on their own. This lead to Eklund being impressed by the Spartan.[5] Eklund also proceeded to give the Spartan notes from her field notes on equipment she had experience with.[6]

Production notes

Character (WIP title)

"Spartan" in Halo Infinite and outside is described by their title "Spartan", "you", or "their", or "your".[2] This is part of the attempt to make the "Spartan" you.[7]

Armor and equipment

While the Spartans armor is undefined, 343 Industries has occasionally needed to depict them in fictional way. In the Season 2 Announce Trailer, they depicted the Spartan in Mark VII armor, with a Soldier helmet.

In their upload of the Halo Infinite Season 2 Lone Wolves Intro Cinematic, "Spartan" is depicted with the B-class Mjolnir, SAP/FJ shoulders, UA/Type KT knee pads, with the Cadet Yellow coating, and Sulfur visor.[8]

In the recap of Season 1 and 2, the Spartan has two depictions both in Mark V/B. The first depiction features them with their right arm with a Prosthetic. The second depiction doesn't use a prosthetic, and uses an almost fully kitted out.
