Halo: Reach

Cool File, Bro is an achievement in Halo: Reach. It was unlocked by recommending a file to another player.^[1] It is represented by a green hand showing a thumbs-up gesture over a five-point star, similar to the fist and star found in the Pummel medal.

Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, this achievement is no longer attainable.^[2]^[3]

Trivia[edit]

The title is referencing the internet meme "Cool story, bro!", which is often used as a sarcastic phrase to denote comments and posts which are deemed boring, pointless or just too long to read.
Prior the Halo: Reach's release Bungie.Net listed the achievement under "Cool, File Bro".
