- The patrolling UNSC Callisto performs a routine inspection of a colonial vessel. It goes tragically awry, shots are fired, and colonists are killed.[1]

- Three UNSC Destroyers confront the insurgent-controlled UNSC Callisto in the 26 Draconis System at the culmination of the Callisto Incident. It is effectively the beginning of the Insurrection.[2]

- Rebels under the leadership of ex-United Nations Space Command Marine Colonel Robert Watts, perpetrated a series of attacks in the Eridanus System.[3][1]

- The government of Eridanus-II call for aid to help contain the growing rebel situation.[4]
