Design details[edit]

Main article: M12B Warthog

The Vespin Warthog is a modified M12B Warthog named after a particularly deadly pseudo-arachnid that often lairs in ancient temple complexes on Sanghelios used as staging areas painted with a yellow-and-black colour scheme.[1] The Warthog is created in conjunction with Thel 'Vadam's artisan-armorers, using technologies unearthed from Sanghelios' past.[2] The vehicle has increased armor over standard Warthog models, and faster acceleration and reload time on the rockets fired from the M80 missile launcher.[1] To date, Vespin Warthogs have only been observed in a Light Anti-Aircraft Vehicle configuration.

Usage[edit]

By 2558, the Vespin Warthog was employed by UNSC forces conducting joint patrols with the Swords of Sanghelios on the eponymous planet, defending the Sanghelios badlands against Created scouts and Covenant remnants.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

The Vespin Warthog is available for use in the multiplayer of Halo 5: Guardians. In the Warzone mode, it can be called in as a REQ, while it can also be spawned in Forge mode for use in custom games.

The Vespin Warthog REQ card is classed as a legendary REQ, requiring REQ level 5 to call in in Warzone. Like the camouflaged variants of Warthog, the Vespin Warthog's armour has 40% more health than a standard Warthog.[3]
