Kitun Picture[edit]

Good day. Have you got the full version of this picture? It's an alright image, but it looks sort of lopsided on the page because it's so tall and thin. A waist-up picture would suffice. If you'd like, you could put up or send the full version and I could edit it to a better version for the page. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 02:19, 4 December 2015 (EST)

I can make it transparent, but that's probably not a good idea because the relative darkness of the image will clash badly with the white background. Transparency is better suited for images of weapons and ship classes than of people. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 21:50, 4 December 2015 (EST)

Image uploading[edit]

Hi. I'm posting this here and also on your message board because I don't know if you've actually been reading my past couple notifications. Please take a look at our image guidelines, because you have been repeatedly uploading things that don't follow our policies. To surmise however;

  • Halopedia prefers official digital image uploads over book scans, even if the book scan is a larger size - scans are almost always low-quality images, and we avoid them where possible.
    • To this end, we would also prefer not to have cropped images of scans, for the above reason. They tend to look pretty bad.
  • Please name your files properly. Image filenames tend to go along the lines of (for example's sake) File:H4_Didact_Render.jpg, to indicate the image's source, subject and type.
  • When replacing images on a page, please add {{Delete}} to the image being replaced so that we can make sure it gets deleted if it's being unused.
  • It'd be great (though not necessary unlike the aforementioned) if you could put some image categories on your images. You can do this by editing the file page and adding (using our previous example of an image of the Didact) [[Category:Images of Ur-Didact]], to the page.

I'd appreciate if you can bear these in mind in the future, they help keep things organised and high-quality. Given I've already had to give warnings several times about this and lock a file page from editing for a week to ensure these issues aren't being ignored, I'm going to have to consider this a final warning before a temp. block, as this is now a recurring issue. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to contact me on here or in our Discord server (which has several extremely active staff members in) so we can properly help out!
