The Halo Encyclopedia: The Definitive Guide to the Halo Universe (Revised) is the 2011 revised edition of the original 2009 edition of the Halo Encyclopedia, the original official guidebook of the Halo universe. Like its original 2009 edition, it was published by Dorling Kindersley and created in conjunction with 343 Industries. The encyclopedia has a foreword written by Frank O'Connor, head of 343 Industries, with Tobias Buckell editing.[1] The cover of the book was illustrated by Craig Mullins.[2]
The 2011 revised edition of Halo Encyclopedia includes an additional sixteen pages (including information on Halo: Reach.[1]
Official summary
Content
The 2011 revised edition incorporates new content, mainly image assets, from Halo: Reach, as well as correcting some mislabeling in the original. Additions include:
- UNSC Army Troopers on page 56-57
- Noble Team = NA/114-117
- Skirmishers = NA/156-157
- Space Combat = NA/266-267
- Armor Abilities = NA/354-355
However, many of the errors remain. 343 Industries Content Creator Jeremy Patenaude has acknowledged that many of the errors remain in the new edition, and stated that future efforts to create a Halo universe encyclopedia would be rewritten from the ground up.[3]
