T'vao, Y'deio system[edit]

I wish Traviss would have gone into more detail about the system and Chu'ot's moons. Anyway, throughout the book, T'vao is never actually specified as being on Eayn. The way Chol keeps bringing it up is odd and seems to indicate that they might be separate bodies. Forgotten Helljumper 13:03, 26 January 2014 (EST)

I brought this up on the forum about the book, I think it's a separate location as well, but no one responded. Col. Snipes450 14:12, 26 January 2014 (EST)

Location of T'vao[edit]

Okay so I email Karen Traviss and she has confirmed that "T'vao is a Kig-Yar colony on one of the asteroids." I can create a "Letter of Canon" page for the email, but I am not really sure how I can prove it. Possibly send a screenshot? Any help here would be appreciated. Finally some clarification! Great work. We can put two and two together as this fits in line with what the visual guide states. You may want to ask Jugus to help you whip up a letter of canon to make it official.Forgotten Helljumper 02:30, 12 April 2014 (EDT)
Not claiming anything about this example in particular, but in general when these sorts of things happen: If Karen Traviss is done with the novel, then she is somewhat freed from her liaison with 343i insofar as the content of the novel is concerned. She can talk about what was intended or what was on her mind when she wrote, but if something wasn't specifically called out in the novel, 343i has the right and opportunity to better define it later on.
I say this partly because of my dealings with them, but also because I had asked for a clarification from something in The Fall of Reach years ago to Eric Nylund and although he gave his thoughts on it, it was with the caveat that because it was no explicit in the novel, not to treat what he says as canon because Bungie (at the time) were the keepers of canon and he was released from his assignment with that particular novel.
So you can certainly cite Karen's email to put forth your corroboration of this asteroid's status, but know that Karen no longer influences the canon once her novel is published. She's a contractor with 343i and not an employee. Just wanted that out there. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 10:52, 12 April 2014 (EDT)
Just copy and paste your email to her and her reply onto a new Letter of Canon page (leaving out personal information of course). Then you can cite it in the article. Great work by the way.--Spartacus TalkContribs 11:39, 12 April 2014 (EDT)
