Spirit of Fire Archives

Template:Semicanon The Spirit of Fire Archives are a series of personal logs, crew reports, and incident reports centered around the staff of the UNSC Spirit of Fire. The stories were written in the months prior to the release of Ensemble Studios' Halo Wars on lead writer Graeme Devine's personal website.

Canon Status

Devine wrote them to assist the game's production team; however, he admits they are "basically fanfiction" and some blatantly contradict canon. That did not stop some minor aspects of these such as Spock the cat making it into the final version of Halo Wars, as shown in the "The Spirit" paper in the game, however the details in these Archives should be counted as not canon.
