Proposal

In relation to Phase 1 Step 1 of the Halopedia Improvement Project there is a substep that requires the need of wiping Project:Userbox(Pretty much decommissioning of that project). And that is easy enough for the unused Userboxes. But the problem starts with the used ones.

What I am asking permission for is two things.

  • 1. A week site warning for all active users who still have Userboxes to remove them off their relevant pages.
  • 2. Permission to remove or clear pages with Userboxes in them after said week is done.

This allows me to 100% be fair in purging userboxes, and not surprise anyone.-CIA391 (talk) 10:21, 30 July 2017 (EDT)

Edit: Its more so we can do a near total refresh of the backbone of the wiki, as the Userboxes became very outdated and messy over the last few years, and newer users don't even use them. So wiping them became a good idea in my eyes. Even then, wiping them now allows us to restart later with a clean slate if we decided to bring them back, something I was considering I admit.

Please comment. I am sure there is lots to consider.-CIA391 (talk) 10:21, 30 July 2017 (EDT)

Wait, why do we need to remove userboxes? That is something that has allowed people to personalize their pages and express themselves for a while now. I mean I could just be in the dark here, but what is the plan and how do userboxes come into play here? stickArcmind Execute long hold for reactivation. stick AI-COM/ACMD SIGNOFF 10:44, 30 July 2017 (EDT)
