A Necessary Truth is one of several short stories in Halo: Fractures: Extraordinary Tales from the Halo Canon. Written by Troy Denning,[1] the story follows Veta Lopis and the Ferrets during a training mission gone awry on October 14, 2553, three months after the events of Halo: Last Light.
