Just wondering out loud, why they decided to add in the "Halo 2" Beam Rifle and not the "Halo 3" Beam Rifle. We have weapons from CE and 2 but not 3. I do prefer the H3 design more. --Crisperstorm (talk) 15:30, 25 June 2016 (EDT)

From what I've observed the Beam Rifle is powered by purple crystals, simalar to ametheist.

Halo 4 Beam Rifle

Think this message will help other users from getting confused. So, don't confuse the Type-27 Beam Rifle of Halo 4 with the Type-50 Beam Rifle of Halo 3, please. Spread the word around.
