Concerning the image in the infobox, I think Sith Venator had made a pretty good point in previous edits. The Sangheili's depictions in Warzone are not practical, because most of them use the same armor (Warrior). In this article, if we put the red Warrior instead of the golden Ranger (the latter sounds way more believable from a canonical viewpoint), then we should also do the same with the other ranks. But I don't think we should do it (of course, the red Warrior can be put in the gallery). I think there are two explanations for this:

- It's an in-universe quirk of the Warzone simulation. The UNSC didn't always put the correct harnesses on the corresponding Sangheili.

- It's been done for gameplay purposes, and because of the game's limits. Grim has also recently confirmed that Sangheili armors were not always correctly depicted in the games because of these reasons, though he did not specifically address the issue in Warzone and talked about the subject in general.

A similar issue also arose concerning the minions in Warzone. The bosses are clearly identified in the game, so we can at least understand what their "real" rank is despite their appearance. However the minions' names don't appear in the game. But in the official guide, they do. And I came to realize that some of them also correspond to some ranks in particular (for example, Sangheili Commanders are actually referred to as Stealth Elites, or Elite Officers, etc, depending on the boss they accompany).

So in any case, I think we should add the necessary info and screenshots from Halo 5 on the respective pages. But the Halo 5 image shouldn't be used as the infobox image, because the same appearances have been recycled too many times in Warzone. Imrane-117 (talk) 19:49, 15 January 2016 (EST)

Hm. I was mainly going off of this discussion where we were uncertain about whether BOB and Ranger Commander info should be merged. It seemed unclear if the appearance of BOBs should really taken as canonical due to their unusual spawn mechanics. Especially since the Ranger Commander rank didn't exist until Halo 5 and was first applied to the Warzone bosses. (On a side note, the white Zealot in Escalation being a BOB is also iffy since a drawing error results in it turning into a Halo 4 Zealot on the following page.) In my opinion, BOBs are an Easter egg. They encompass two kinds of Elites: mostly Ranger Commanders (which have only been identified recently), and white Elites whose canonicity remains uncertain. However, as I pointed out in the BOB article, we have seen a white Zealot in Halo: Escalation, and generally speaking we also know that the color coding is more complicated in the universe than in the games. So what was originally an Easter egg may have been canonized by 343. I won't make much speculation about the white BOBs, but the golden Ranger and the white Zealot are the BOBs that are canon for certain. I remember Grim said something about the color of the white Zealot, but I'll have to find the source.

There is also an interesting fact that Grim mentioned recently, though we already knew it: gold-colored armor means a commanding position. So, it would be logical for a Ranger Commander to wear a golden Ranger harness. Imrane-117 (talk) 20:41, 15 January 2016 (EST)

Here's a source concerning Sangheili armors. It's a Canon Fodder that was released after Escalation Issue 15, when several people started asking questions on this subject. If I remember correctly, Sith Venator asked a question on the Zealot but he wasn't chosen. In this Canon Fodder, there are two questions concerning Sangheili armors, here are some excerpts:

Zealots are a military order with their own internal structure and rankings that varied from fleet-to-fleet and even chapter-to-chapter.

[...] Sangheili armor is something we plan on discussing more at length, but the short answer is that armor can be found in an incredibly wide variety of styles and colorations, some designated for specific roles and mission objectives, while others stem from more hierarchal-based origins. For example, a Ranger’s combat harness can come in multiple variations, but it worn to perform a specific function. Other harnesses – and even colors to some degree - are more ceremonial in nature.
