This Charon-class light frigate (hull classification symbol FFG-127) was a vessel in the UNSC Navy's Seventh Fleet.[1] It engaged the Fleet of Sacred Consecration above Earth during the opening stages of the Battle of Earth on October 20, 2552, but was destroyed during the battle when it was cut in half by Covenant weapons. Upon seeing the destroyed ship in Earth's low orbit during his drop into New Mombasa, Lance Corporal Kojo Agu "took back" a sarcastic remark his squad mate Michael Crespo had previously made about the Navy's response to the invasion.[2]
Production notes
- The code "HU_MIL_SHIP" is painted on the ship's hull. This is not the vessel's actual name but a placeholder graphic indicating HUman MILitary SHIP. It is structured much like the directory system of the game's files (ex. human/military/).
- The frigate's model is a reuse of the destroyed Forward Unto Dawn model from the end of Halo 3.
