Ankara

Ankara is a region located in Mare Imbrium on Luna. It was the test site of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Defender, MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Enforcer, MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Raider, and MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Pathfinder variants. The "Bosque de Negro", Luna's infamous Black Forest, is located somewhere in or near Ankara.[1]

At some point in his career, Captain Thomas Lasky had tested Covenant technology and flown a Type-26 Banshee in the region.[2]

Trivia

This region is most likely named after the capital of Turkey.
