Armor-padded uniform in Halo 4[edit]

I've been wondering where we should list the uniform design worn by the Infinity crew in Halo 4 proper, which more recently appeared in Initiation. Given the armor padding, one might assume it's a uniform designed for combat conditions, not unlike the "combat-ready uniform" in Halo Wars. In The Commissioning, we see Del Rio clad in what the article refers to the "undecorated uniform", then in Halo 4 he's wearing the armored one (which is not listed on the page). In reality this is because the Halo 4 uniform design would've been hard to reproduce with the commercial's budget, but you could say Del Rio and the crew changed into the armored ones once they entered a combat zone. Lasky's wearing it in Spartan Ops and you can buy that because you never know what you might run into on Requiem. Even Kovalic is wearing the armored uniform in a battlefield, so I guess that can make sense. But wait, why are the admirals wearing it in Bravo-6? There's no danger there.

We could either assume that the Halo 4 design was the only reference used by the comic artist, making it kind-of, sort-of artistic license, or that the armored version it really is just a default service uniform, which calls into question whether the design in The Commissioning really is just an alternate interpretation of the more elaborate design in Halo 4. In any case, the actual Halo 4 version should be listed somewhere. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 00:33, 20 August 2013 (EDT)

I'm wondering, it could be either this or that. As you mentioned it, the new uniform has been used regardless of the situation. I think Del Rio's uniform in The Commissioning is merely a reuse of the design used for the ceremony. Serin Osman wears a uniform which is slightly reminiscent of the new regular uniform, but it seems to be less suited for combat and it's not decorated. The new uniform is kind of blurring the lines, maybe it's just more versatile... Honestly, I don't know where it could be placed, maybe here. By the way, when I say "new", it's from a real world perspective of course, apparently the uniform already existed during the war. Imrane-117 (talk) 11:20, 20 August 2013 (EDT)
