Epoloch system

The Epoloch system is a planetary system in an unknown region of space within the Forerunner ecumene. It was the location of Shield World 0001[1], also known as Requiem.
History
The system was the home of the Forerunner military forces, the Prometheans, leaded by the Didact, for thousands of years until the end of the Forerunner-Flood war. After the war, it was not visited until 2554, when the Covenant remnant lead by the Sangheili Jul 'Mdama, discovered the coordinates to Requiem in a planet called Hesduros.[2] Over the next three years, the Covenant tried to enter the planet, without success. In July 2557, several of 'Mdama' ships identified the human vessel UNSC Forward Unto Dawn heading to the planet. 'Mdama ordered his troops to board the ship and keep the humans away from Requiem.[3] They were unsuccessful as the human and Covenant ships in the area were pulled into Requiem.[4]
