Trailer canon??Edit

Is it wise to say the Halo Infinite trailer is canon right now without a second statement? I mean it has been stated to be called the "Slipspace Demo" so it could be non canon entirely like that trailer with John and the cloak. Aka isnt is wise not to say the May 2560 date is canon as of right now.-CIA391 (talk) 15:41, 20 July 2018 (EDT)

They literally hid a date in the trailer that wasn't visible without some tinkering and Grim has confirmed there are clues hidden in the trailer. It is 100% safe to say that Halo Infinite takes place in 2560 (exactly 1.5 years post-Halo 5, not coincidental) and that John will visit a Halo ring in it. I also think the trailer confirms that's Zeta Halo (Morse code mentions it and Grim was liking multiple tweets people were making when they figured it out) but I'm willing to hold off on that one because yeah, yeah the radio was receiving, not transmitting, lol. Fine. The great things about Halopedia is that we can change things when we get info later. This is what we have now.TheEld (talk) 16:39, 20 July 2018 (EDT)TheEld
I think it's almost certain that whether or not the date is canon, the events of the trailer probably won't be, just like every other announcement trailer (doubly so since this one is a mere tech demo). At the very least I'm going to slap a Semi-canon box on it to be sure. --Tacitus (talk) 01:02, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
