Yes, I'm quite certain. Before, not only did I recrop the image, I also changed the resolution. This time, I just recropped the image, but left the resolution unchanged, like in the original. In answer to your question, I would if I could and if I know just how to do that. Although to be honest I'm really not at all certain how much good that would do in the end. I'm really just an Image Librarian, I save images in my galleries in order to keep them from being deleted, and also to show I like them like "favoriting" in DeviantART.
Done. Just a little bit cropped off. I like even numbers. But there's no quality loss. I promise. Trust me.
Oh it does? In that case yes, I must have misread that bit. Also, not that it's really a problem, but could you do something with your signature? Could you upload the image you're using to the wiki, or just not use an image at all? The image is causing problems on loading talk pages you've signed on.
It originally was the name of this image file. It just needed some spelling corrected. It's a pet peeve I have.
In response to your previous request, I have now fulfilled all that I am willing to do. Hope you're happy about the new images. :-)
Hey, make sure there isn't already an image of the same kind as the one you're trying to upload. If there is, then abort and use that one. Just a friendly suggestion. :-)
Are you talking about the weapons concept art? If so, I'm still trying to get my dad's state-of-the-art laser printer scanner to scan the whole page without cutting any of it off. I had trouble getting it even to scan the whole of the Didact's Cryptum. And also, I might add, there aren't very many weapons concepts in Awakening: The Art of Halo 4 that I can scan, crop, edit, and then upload. I got as much as I could, I'll do the rest later when I'm not so busy with shows.
This one? It looks like Phantoms and CCS ships to me.
It's not annoying at all. In fact, it's interesting to have these discussions. :)
There are always factors that provide exceptions. I would guess the reason why unidentified NMPD officer falls within the notability guidelines ("worthy of notice") is because of:
- The character connects both story plots from the main story of Halo 3: ODST and Sadie's Story, by referencing Kinsler's orders.
- The character is the only character that directly impacts the game, depending on whether the player finds the 29th audio log. If they do, then they will witness the character attempting to kill them near the last audio log. If not, they will simply hear the character getting killed by buggers.
I guess I should clarify a character's contribution that directly impacts the game is different than those that directly impacts the events in a game. Then again, it could work on opposite.
It is always assumed by the fans that the Field Marshal(l) that killed some of the Nobles in Reach is one and the same. However, unless there is conclusive evidence showing so (either through some supplementary stories, references or what-not), I don't think it fulfills the notability guidelines. I think this is why most of the users in Halopedia decided not to create an article about the Field Marshal(l).
There are other unidentified characters that I do not think meet the guidelines. However, some users do provide convincing arguments why they are notable, just like the Self-destruct article.
My personal opinion: no.
Consider the following examples. H1 has a Zealot guarding the door to the Silent Cartographer. This Zealot appears in a cutscene where the Chief disables the Cartographer's security, and makes a final appearance when you try to exit out of the facility. Notable and worthy of having its own article? No because there is no name. In H2's Uprising campaign level, we observe multiple Elites dropping down to assist the Arbiter at the start of the level. Mind you, these Elites have special dialogues and assist you throughout (until they die). Notable and worthy of having its own article? No because they have no name. I can't remember any from H3 or ODST for now but I bet there are instances of this happening. These examples highlight their contributions, impacting the events as the plot unfolds. Notable to be mentioned in their respective articles, yes, but not to the extent of having their own articles.
It is the wiki's duty to provide a comprehensive database but it is subjected to the rules, guidelines and policies the community has agreed on to better present the information to the readers/visitors.
In this case, the Notability Policy would apply (accessible via sidebar). Without this policy, the wiki would end up as it did in 2007/2008 with its terrible "anything seen gets an article" policy... resulting with tons of articles of redundant information and/or containing only one sentence.
This is different from characters in novels as they have "names" (which is sufficiently notable) and could have potential growth in the future... unless it can be said that they would be better presented in a list-type article (i.e. List of XXX).
You should know by now that I am a lurker; I only involve myself if it benefits me. ;)
I was planning to move it to the original image's filename but accidentally remove it from my system, and later forgot all about it... >.<
Apologies. Anyway, could you please do the same thing but to the original image (which is larger/bigger in size)? And please upload it to the same filename... >.<
Nice pic of that Elite minor render. It was better than the one screenshot i had up on the page. Did u make it and how?
