Nightgyr

Nightgyrs are a species of fauna native to the colony world of Luyten. They are considered to be harmless winged lizards with a scaly skin, known to feed on blood mots and thumb birds. Olympia Vale recalled watching nightgyrs as a child in her trips to the Hoodoo Gorges, in which the nightgyrs would dart between the rocky canyons in search of their prey.
