The Jennet-class intrasystem hauler is a civilian hauling ship manufactured by Halifax Spacewerx. It is used across human space moving cargo between worlds and up gravity wells.[1]

OverviewEdit

Design detailsEdit

Jennet-class ships have a maximum crew size of 3. They have an "obscene" thrust-to-mass ratio that allows them to move hulks, asteroids, cargo between worlds and up gravity wells.[1]

Development historyEdit

The Jennet-class intrasystem hauler was manufactured by Halifax Spacewerx, where it entered service in 2499.[1]

UsageEdit

The Jennet-class hauler is often one of the first type of ships called when hulks, asteroids, and massive cargo pallets need to be moved between worlds or up gravity wells.[1]

Service historyEdit

The Jennet-class entered service in 2499.[1]

One such vessel was the subject of a simulation conducted by Sloan. During the simulation, the Executor was tasked with retrieving a Durance containing Spartan Edward Davis' memories from Carinae Station. During the attack, the station's personnel were simulated to use a Jennet-class hauler to load the Durance for evacuation. In the simulation's conclusion, the Executor was able to board the hauler and pilot it away from the station, with one potential outcome seeing the hauler later intercepted by Created vessels for retrieval.[2][3]

TriviaEdit

A jennet is an extinct type of small Spanish horse known for its smooth gait, compact and muscular build, and good disposition.
