Hardscrabble was a Unified Earth Government colony world located in the Outbound system.[1]
HistoryEdit
Rise of humanityEdit
Humanity arrived in the Outbound system in the 25th-century, settling on Hardscrabble and establishing it as a colony of the UEG in the year 2444.[1]
Human-Covenant WarEdit
In 2545, during the Human-Covenant War, Edward Buck was in cryo-sleep en route to the planet from Mars. Upon waking up in arrival at Hardscrabble, Buck learned of the Covenant's assault on his homeworld of Draco III.[2]
Two years later, in 2547, the Covenant discovered and attacked Hardscrabble. The planet was then glassed by Covenant forces.[1]
