So, I've said it before, but the gameplay information on this site is rather lacking and poorly done. "Gameplay" information on weapon pages tends to be imprecise, contradictory, and with a muddled line between whether it's talking about gameplay and canon. So, not for the first time, I'm proposing a new format to make our information regarding gameplay more comprehensive. I'm thinking perhaps we could have separate pages for each game that focus exclusively on the weapons, talking about what each weapon does, what its role is, how well it does that role, and any weapons or tactics that can counter it well. Presumably stuff on vehicles, power ups, gameplay mechanics, and any other things as well. This would probably replace the existing "Sandbox" pages as well. - The focus of the main article should remain in-universe, with out-universe content kept at minimal. In relation to gameplay content such as weapons and vehicles, in-universe content (i.e. canon info) is prioritised over out-universe content (i.e. gameplay changes, advantages and disadvantages). However, as you said, it does not do much justice for those seeking gameplay-focused content.
- On the other hand, there is no written rule on the MOS or Layout guide that prevents you from creating a sub-page for gameplay-focused content; rather, it is actually expected for a person to create one since not all of the readers are pure/hard-core canon-junkie. The Linkbox template has always featured a "gameplay" field ever since it was created and implemented in articles. That field was simply waiting for people to make use of it. Man, I'm sure that going AWOL on here so soon after posting this was a great idea. I guess I could just give this a bump, see if anyone else has anything to say, and if not I think I'll go through with this. So, should I go with new pages for each game, or should I add a category on the game's main page? I'm thinking to former, as it might be too big for the main page. - Ok! So, I'll probably start by... hmmm, I could try testing weapons, but I also might want to start by just getting down what I already know, and my current impressions. Yeah, I think I'll go with testing. Go into custom games with a second player and count the frames to kill, for starters. Might research the damage radius on AOE stuff. Shots to kill, of course. Might even look into how distance affects kill times. I could probably also measure travel times. However, I won't be able to do CE or 2, as they don't have theatre. If anyone has a capture card, could they try doing those?

- -pause of nine frames between bursts (last shot of burst-one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight-nine-first shot of burst)
