Recruiting

I'm thinking of creating a group that would study, improve, and work on pages, using extra information gathered form modding or other uses. If you have an idea, or wish to join, please add me as a friend or send me a message. By trying out new ideas, we could expose glitches, loopholes, and other things that would make HALOPEDIA evenbetter than before. If you want to improve a great wiki, then join this group. Names, logistics, and rules can be worked out at a latter date. Please Join.

We actually used to have usergroups on Halopedia, but they were disbanded back in 2009.--Commander Halofan1234 (I say the cabal does not exist) 21:27, 5 December 2011 (EST)

I'm pretty new at this, so why were the usergroups disbanded? Are they allowed to be formed once disbanded?

REACHSURVIVES 06:35, 6 December 2011 (EST)

I believe it was found that the usergroups were not as effective as they should've been. Some people mostly joined them just to be in a group with a theme they liked.--File:1221751884 I-animated-this-for-you.gifEnder the XenocideFile:1221751884 I-animated-this-for-you.gif 07:42, 6 December 2011 (EST)

So if the groups were more effective, wouldn't the usergroups not disband and do some good? I wouldent be the leader of course, but it could still work, couldn't it?

The original idea of the usergroup was to encourage editing. Each group, centred around a different Halo theme, would set goals for article improvement. Then the point system arrived, and as it turned out, the attraction of "ranking up" got a lot more people editing than the groups, so they closed.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 15:52, 6 December 2011 (EST)

Couldn't the usergroups begin again since ranking up will be accomplished as you work in the usergroups? That would make sense.

Now I understand why the usergroups were disbanded. Maybe if we could prove to the council that smaller usergroups would work. Does anyone have an idea of how to contact them and tell them this? Anyone? PLEASE?

Against Drones

Automatic weapons are the best.

Against Grunts

Anything. Except Grenades.

Against Elites

Against Brutes

Against Jackals

Against Engineers

Against Skirmishers

Against Hunters

Try to hit the exposed area in the Hunter's back, joints, or neck. This will reasult in more damage, and will make the firefight be less dangerous. Also, snipe from afar and shoot when the Hunter is charging its cannon. This can stun the creature and prevent it from shooting. This could save your life.

Legendary In General

Be Careful. Don't rush straight into battle. Take time. The longer it takes to line up a head-shot means the longer you will live. REACHSURVIVES 16:57, 6 December 2011 (EST)
