UNSC Jericho was a UNSC Destroyer in the late 25th century.[1]
Background
In 2494 the Jericho was sent after the Insurrectionist-captured ship, UNSC Callisto, in what would come to be known as the Callisto Incident.
Operational history
When the UNSC Corvette Callisto was captured by Insurrectionists, the UNSC sent a group of destroyers to recapture it: the Jericho, the Las Vegas, and the Buenos Aires.
On March 2, 2494, the group found the Callisto in the 26 Draconis System, and the destroyers each fired six of their Ares Missiles. However, the Callisto managed to avoid destruction by hiding behind an asteroid. They then detonated it towards the UNSC ships by using a nuke that had been planted earlier. The Buenos Aires was destroyed and lost with all hands. The Jericho and Las Vegas were severely damaged.
Trivia
- It is most likely named after the city of Jericho.
