Halo logo tattoo

Actually, I think that is his nueral interface, as is standard for all Navy (and perhaps Marine Corps) personnel. I know it gives credit to this, but I want to rest this once and for all and remove the tattoo part from the Trivia.

Did you play the game? Lord Hood and the rest of the UNSC thinks that John died. --Blemo 23 progress-wheel.gif TALK CONTRIBUTIONSSERVICE RECORD 02:43, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
well unless those cryopods can take power from a frozen nuclear fusion generator, which wouldnt be able to produce any power, than eventually it would become unable to support him any longer, Andrew-108 00:25, September 21, 2010 (UTC)

Uniform

In Halo 3 Hood's uniform looks incredibly odd. Is he wearing a dress uniform over combat armor or does he have specially crafted dress armor?

I wondered about that as well. In Halo 2, his uniform was much akin to the US Navy's dress one, but in Halo 3 it appears to be an amalgamation of a duty and dress type in order to make it more sci-fi (and less US Navy). I also wondered about his rank insignia: in Halo 3, he seems to only wear the pins/stripes of a four-star 'full' Admiral, and not the five-stars of a Fleet Admiral as he supposedly is. -- Mada101
Or in the UNSC a 'Fleet Admiral' is more of a position and title rather than an actual rank/pay-grade. -- Lord Hyren 17:55, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Sir?

Whats the source that he is a "Sir" I have only read and heard him being called a "Lord".--User:JohnSpartan117 11:47, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

In the military, it is common to refer to your superior officer as sir, perhaps whomever referred to him as sir was a lower rank. Raiderdline61 "7777777" 01:34, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
He's a member of the british nobility, thus the "sir." --WhellerNG 02:17, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

Grim

Does anyone else notice that Hood seems to be very grim through out the games? I know he's probably stressed by the war, but he should at least look happy to boost morale. BPL 22:45, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
