Ye Olde Pube

A general discussion chat section, doesn't necessarily have to be related to Halo, Halopedia, or Wikia. Off-topic discussions are encouraged. The title of my "off-topic lounge" is "Ye Olde Pube", a reference to the bar of the same name that Peter Griffin built and operated in his basement in the Family Guy episode, Mind Over Murder.

Halo Waypoint

Article : Halo Waypoint. Hi CommanderTony, Just to get your attention, the above article has been listed for grammatical clean up but has been lock. I understand that the article has been presented as if it had been directly copied off from Bungie (or whoever created it). Could you lower the security for the article. Thanks.--BlackSuitHalo 08:30, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

"News Service" Templates

Greetings Tony, my attention is being drawn by the Halopedia News Service which is quickly evolving. Since you are the Chief Editor there, should we create a new line of templates regarding the Service itself? (for example to indicate a user who is involved or a page which is an article's main subject) User:Spirit of Fire/Sig 19:15, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

These two are those I've conceived so far, until their coding is provisional changes can be made in no time. User:Spirit of Fire/Sig 16:50, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

New Bungie Project

The New Bungie Project page you deleted... it is needed. Because it is NOT Halo: Reach. Read again:

"While most of the studio's collective might has made the shift over to Halo: Reach to lend their time, talent, and insights into making it kick tons of ass when it comes out in Fall of 2010, your focus should be elsewhere. There no need for you to invest in cryogenics and endure a frigid hibernation season to help ease your wait—there's only 88 days left until Halo 3: ODST hits store shelves. You're shipping out on September 22nd, 2009. So mark your calendars, pre-order your copy, and GET SET for a combat drop. Oh and we've said it before, but since various denizens from around the Internet were once again speculating on what else we’re whipping up, yeah, we've also got a third, super secret thing in the works that you know nothing about. We'd love to tell you all about it, but as you may have learned from the proceeding sentence, it’s super secret. All in due time. When we have something to show you, we'll...uh...show it to you. Until then, mind ya bizness."

This was from today's (6/26/09) Weekly Update.

See? There is ODST, Reach, and then a third new game!

Re:Re: New Bungie Project

Well, then why does Marathon and District 9 have their own page? It isn't Halo: Marathon or Halo: Disctrict 9? Shouldn't those be deleted too, then? Sure, Halo has Marathon references, but it also has a HUGE reference to their game Oni and that doesn't have a page here!

More Marathon references than Oni references. Lot more. And sign your edits, dude. Srsly.   DavidJCobb  01:07, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

In answer to both your questions, it seems that you're not supposed to remove stuff from your talk page. Ever. You can, however, move stuff off of your talk page into archival subpages -- as CommanderTony himself has done -- provided that you link to such subpages at the top of your talk page. I can provide instructions on how to do this, if you so desire.   DavidJCobb  01:06, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Halopedia News Service Content

Hello, Tony. I have several ideas for some new content in the HNS. First of all, I was wondering if we could have a screenshot competition. People enter their screenshots and at the end of the week, one gets first, one gets second, and one gets third as voted by the Halopedia News Staff. Also, there should be an award called Editor of the Week, for the Editor who writes the most, or most popular news article(s) in a week, and also helps with the formatting of the Main Page, the News Ticker, etc.

Also, I have come in regards to Halopedia Warz. Don't you think it's time you did something about it? I would gladly participate in reviving it. Also, if it is revived, could Halopedians form their own Halo 3 teams, with unique names and such, just like what was done with Halo Wars?

I hope my ideas appeal to you. Have a nice night! File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 08:59, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

If I may put my two cents in, I think screenshot(s) and editor of the week are pretty good.   DavidJCobb  17:27, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

ODST Info

I don't know why I can't edit the Halo 3: ODST page, probably because of my low position. But, a little snippet of info is that after reviewing the gameplay footage a few times I've noticed that Bungie has taken the tunnel vision problem from Halo 3 into consideration and have fixed it to a certain degree. Just something I thought you could add to the trivia. Look over the gameplay and see for yourself.--Underdogg13 22:28, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Help me understand.

You have deleted a page I made twice now for duping another page. If I can have a link to that page, that would be nice. I am only making a page that DOES NOT EXIST YET. It would exist if you would stop deleting it. Thank you.

Tony, yesterday you wrongly banned me. I created an article three times that you deleted three times. However, upon review, the second admin you said that I was contacted by gave me a link to HALO 2's IRON SKULL when my article was about HALO 3: ODST'S IRON SKULL. I asked for an article that I supposedly duped, and that is what I got. Why?

Just a question

Hi, I'm Soviet_SPESTNAZ from WiCapedia: the World in Conflict wiki. I'd just like to ask you how you made the main page of your wiki(including the side tabs like the gameplay, universe, etc.). It looks very nice. And also, I'd like to ask about you're templates and how you made them. If somebody else made the things mentioned above, then who are they and what are they're user names? Our wiki is in need of more editors, could you ask some you're editors to help me? Thanks in advance! Here is our site: WiCapedia[] Soviet SPETSNAZ 04:37, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts Wiki Staff

Hello, CommanderTony. My name is DoorToNothing, and I am a Moderator over at the Kingdom Hearts Wiki. Recently, the staff and I noticed that you have two templates that we wanted to implement into our wiki: Template:Era and Template:Eraicon. We tried to implement the the two templates onto our Wiki, with minor changes such as the image and game-name. However, even with the help of our coding master (ILHI), we still can't get it to work. We've added a few things to our MediaWiki's CSS and JS that you use to try to get it working, but still no results. Could you please take a look at our templates and MediaWiki's CSS and JS to help us get this working, and maybe even give us a draft of what our MediaWiki's CSS and JS should look like with the necessary coding? Our templates can be found here:

Please and thank you, --DoorToNothing 19:44, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Unjust removal of discussion comments....

You recently removed some comments I added to the discussion of The Package because they were "social" or "unneeded". I don't think this was done fairly and I was just wondering what specifically about them was grounds for removing them? What rule(s) did I violate?

I've seen many other posts that fall into the "social" and "unneeded" categories far more than mine did, yet you didn't have them removed. My comments simply gave my opinion on subjects started by other users. They weren't flames, trolling, or spam, so what made you remove them? Isn't the "discussion" section of an article for discussions related to the article? That's what I thought I was doing; participating in the discussion. --Mayhemm 07:35, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

If the comments (or the containing discussions) were entirely superfluous, an admin can remove them.   DavidJCobb  03:31, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
Obviously, because he did. But clearly it isn't Halopedia policy to remove all superfluous comments since there are hundreds if not thousands of equal or lesser comments that have not been removed. I want to know why mine were selected for removal amongst all these others.--Mayhemm 22:04, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I have seen the edits in question, and I have to agree, the user was treated unfairly. The comments were perfectly on topic, and not at all "social and unneeded". I suggest you reconsider your decision CT. - File:Black Mesa.jpg Halo-343 (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 22:32, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

M6G

I have question about the M6G. Is the max ammo 40 bullets with five clips, or 48 bullets with six clips? When I edited it to be the latter, someone undid my action, so for now, I have it as the first. Hyper Zergling 19:13, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

First things first: It's a magazine, not a clip. There is a difference. Secondly, the maximum is six magazines, with one magazine in the weapon itself. That's forty rounds in reserve, and eight rounds in the pistol. SmokeSound off! 19:38, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

Halo: Reach landing page

Hi Tony. Joe from the Gaming Team here. To get ready for the Halo: Reach beta, Microsoft would like to partner with Halopedia and build out a Halo: Reach landing page. It could live on the category page or we could create a portal page, similar to Portal:Fallout: New Vegas at the Fallout Wiki. The idea is to make the page appear like a main page but have it focus entirely on Halo: Reach. So on the page, in addition to lots of links to articles, we could have a blog posts listing, a gallery of images, an embedded video, etc. We plan to get assets from Microsoft (screenshots, images of characters and/or weapons, video, etc.) that we could use to help make the page look hawt.

We would also like to run a contest once the page is completed. No details have been decided yet, but we plan to hit up Microsoft for some swag to giveaway. So first things first - for now, we just want to know if you guys are interested in the landing page idea, and if so, do you want it to be on the category page or a new portal page? Obviously we want the rest of the admins to be involved in this decision, so if there's a place you'd rather me talk about this, let me know. Or I could message the other admins and link to your talk page and have the discussion here, whichever you prefer. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 18:46, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up about the admin email address. Sending email now. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 18:59, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
Apparently my email didn't go through. I got this returned message...
We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (halopedia-admins) may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group. A few more details on why you weren't able to post:
  • You might have spelled or formatted the group name incorrectly.
  • The owner of the group may have removed this group.
  • You may need to join the group before receiving permission to post.
  • This group may not be open to posting.
If you are able to use that email address, could you use it to contact the other admins using the message I originally posted here? Add me as CC to the email if you don't mind - joe@wikia-inc.com Thanks. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 21:28, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
It seems like a good idea to me. The contest for the Halo 3 release helped get Halopedia noticed by the big Halo fansites, which promoted membership. Something more official seems like it would increase Halopedia's standing among such websites. Halopedia doesn't really have portals. This could be an okay thing on its own to serve its particular purpose, though. *shrugs* --Dragonclaws(talk) 17:33, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Regarding page references

I've been sprucing up the Thel 'Vadam article with some information from Halo: The Cole Protocol, but I'm still a little new at this. When adding a page reference to a paragraph that draws references from more than one chapter in the book, do I put down the start/end pages of the chapter or setction in question, just the pages with important information such as names or events, or what? I'm a bit reticent to just blunder in and screw up such an important article by putting in improper page references, so I started by just getting the references for single-chapter sections, which I know from my college classes how to manage. If so when i find out new like maybe a new REACH vidoc i'll run it by you and you could add it to the news. Message me back please.—This unsigned comment was made by Cheezyboundy (talkcontribs). Sitenotice

Hi Tony. We're trying to drive as much traffic as possible to Portal:Halo: Reach (hence the 2 spotlight images you may have seen), so I wanted to ask if you could add a link to the page to the Sitenotice, either on the current line about the beta or a separate line if you prefer. If you decide not to add the link, I understand, but please leave me a message so I know. Thanks. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 21:41, April 23, 2010 (UTC)

Brand new Reach video releasing tonight

Hi again. At midnight tonight (eastern time), the embargo will be lifted on a brand new Reach trailer, which Microsoft sent to us today. Starting tomorrow, Microsoft wants us to display the new video on the Halopedia main page, so I wanted to bring it to your attention (I just found out about it a few minutes ago). The video needs to stay on the main page until May 20th. Please share this info with the rest of the admins (so they don't revert my edit). Hopefully you/they won't object to the video being on the main page (just for 3 weeks), but feel free to post any comments, questions, or feedback on my talk page. Thanks. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 01:00, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

The video is now live on the main page as well as Halo: Reach Videos. The 5/20 date was part of the arrangement with Microsoft (specifically, their ad agency). The head of Wikia Ad Operations told me that we may be able take the video down sooner if we generate enough pageviews, so there's a chance that it won't have to stay on the main page for the whole 3 weeks. We've already been running 2 spotlights for the multiplayer beta for the past week (that link to Halopedia of course), and I may create a new spotlight image using a screenshot from the new video that also links here in order to maximize pageviews. I'll keep you posted, but in the meantime, please keep the video on the main page, but feel free to edit the method in which I featured it. I used the Header-2 template to match the look of the other sections, but if you prefer it to be featured differently, all I ask is that it remain easily visible to anyone visiting the main page. Again, I welcome any questions or comments on my talk page. Thanks. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 04:47, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Interview

Hi Tony. A reporter from Advertising Age is writing an article about how user-generated articles are becoming more valuable than paid-for articles. He wants to interview a couple Wikia editors to learn about their motivations to contribute to a wiki. You were one of the editors I suggested, so now I'm contacting you to see if you would be interested in participating. If not, just leave a reply on my talk page. If you are interested, send me an email and I will follow up there. Thanks. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 16:51, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

Talk page deletions

Please...can you tell me whats wrong with what I write on talk pages? You rarely give reason for removal, and you've done it a number of times. I've asked you about this before, but you haven't responded. Going from your record so far, you probably just deleted it. Arcdash 05:34, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Right, I understand that I guess, but this was actually off of an article talk page, and the talk was at least partially relevant to the page. Now...it was about the Reach Beta, and I'm not familiar with the policies about that, but it was directly related to the article. Arcdash 13:36, May 24, 2010 (UTC)
You just did the same thing to me... twice. I don't understand why my rename proposal is worthy of deletion, without even a proper vote.--Fluffball Gato 06:26, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Forum Deletion

Sorry. I'm new to this wikia. On the ones I come from, a forum is like any other forum. Where do I go to have a general discussion? Or do you do that off-site?Fairfieldfencer FFF 16:06, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Please relieve my burden...

Hey Tony, could you please remove my ban on Halo Fanon. I think I've cooled down enough. Don't worry, I really don't plan on getting into any more political arguements anymore... trust me, I didn't enjoy that last run - Echo 1 21:28, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism/war declaration

I don't know if you know but i was looking on your wiki( i am from the fallout and alan wake wiki) and i noticed a change in your vehicle page, it turns out that the Call of Duty wiki has "Declared war on your wiki" and they want you to delete all your pages or they will( they sound as thick as sh!t to me) so i just thought i should let you know.Felixwilliams12 08:09, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I've blocked him. As for his edit, I lol'd. I really doubt they'll even bother rallying up their editors for a so-called "wiki-war". Pure bullcrap. - File:Major.png Nìcmávr (Tálk) 13:28, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
Comment - Wow. I am from the Call of Duty Wiki and that is hilarious. There will be no "wiki -war" between our two wikis and there was never any thought of even vandalizing here. That is just pure bullcrap, as Nìcmávr said. CodExpert 16:49, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
I am an admin over on the COD Wiki, and I just wanted to confirm what CodExpert and Nìcmávr said to assuage any lingering suspicion. That editor was in no way condoned by or affiliated with (that we are aware of at any rate) our wiki. Even if he was, anyone that would even suggest some kind of mass-vandalizing of another wiki would very likely be blocked over on our wiki and the other wiki's (this one, in this case) admins would be contacted just in case. I'm a Halo fan as well as a COD fan myself, so I'm posting this just to be safe to avoid any unfortunate misunderstanding.--WouldYouKindly 03:53, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Hey. I am an administrator of the CoD Wiki and can attest to the fact that Felix's statement is an outright lie. However, should this firebrand successfully start something, I will ban any CoD Wiki users who vandalize here and I would be appreciative if you did the same to any Halopedia users who vandalized the CoD Wiki. Cheers. Imrlybord7 03:58, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
We know. If there are any Halopedia users over there that vandalize, do not hesitate to contact us and let us know. I do edit over at the CoD Wiki so I know which users are from here. SmokeSound off! 04:07, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Dude...

Honest question and no offense... but what the heck do you think gives you the authority or right do delete my userpage? I know it's fanon, but it's a userpage, not a canon/mainspace article! Shouldn't it be MY property, and MY actual place to edit? Come on. Be decent and respectful, restore my page, please. >.> Corporal Juan José Rodriguez Reportin' for duty. 04:43, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

You... you've really got to be kidding me. Are you telling me that I can't put my own stuff on my own userpage? There's a few things I don't understand, nor agree with.

1) It technically, like, really technically is, my own userpage. As I am a user and the page is created under 'UserWiki', it should under every single circumstance be my own userpage. I can understand why you would delete certain content from userpages (i.e. offensive material, rude slang...) but why is a fanfiction on a userpage banned? Sure, non-canon content on official pages should be banned, but I really don't understand why it's not allowed on my userpage. Can you please give me one good reason why?

2) I've never really seen these rules. I think it's kind of inconvenient that you delete my page without a) warning, or b) making sure that I know what I'm doing and telling me it's not allowed / permitted. I had no warning and I'm lucky enough to save the stuff I had before you deleted it. From the wiki I'm an admin on (the CoD Wikia) I always try to warn people before I delete stuff off of their pages.

3) Do I really have to go to an entire different wikia to post one thing on a userpage? Is it really that much of a hassle that I can't post stuff on my own userpage without it being confused for canon or anything? Really.

4) Can I bring this up anywhere for removal of this policy? This, (again, no offense) really seems to me as a bad policy as it's not allowing me to post my own content on my own userpage.

Thanks for your time, but please consider my words... why the heck is that a rule, and why the heck is it necessary to delete a userpage? Corporal Juan José Rodriguez Reportin' for duty. 04:58, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

I have a feeling that you not only didn't read any of my points, but didn't even consider answering my questions. If for some reason it's banned to have non-canon content on a userpage (for crying out loud, it's a userpage! I know that this is a wikia, but that doesn't mean that content absolutely has to be canon on unofficial userpage), then can you give me a reason or tell me where I can bring up a potential removal of that policy? I respect your opinion, but I have yet to hear a single credible reason why I can't have fanfiction content on my unofficial wiki userpage, which is NOT a mainspace article. I'm not asking you to bend the rules, I'm asking you why the rule is there and where I can petition to remove or change it. Do you understand my points and my reasons? Because this is actually disappointing - the Halopedia is, by far, one of the most encyclopedic and factual wikias I have ever seen, but this just seems like a tactical failiure of a rule.

Even further, the rule says 'articles', and there isn't really a designation between article and userpage, which I may remind you is unofficial, non-mainspace, obviously non-canonical (if there would need to be a warning on my userpage in bring red letters screaming 'THIS IS FANON', I'd take it easily!) and most importantly, technically a user's property, I really don't see ANY credible reasons for the ban of fanon content on USERPAGES.

Please, please, dude, can you read my points and tell me where I can try to get some answers? Corporal Juan José Rodriguez Reportin' for duty. 05:24, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Really? Really?

1) I'm not asking you to bend rules, nor your fellow admins, nor anyone! I'm not expecting you and I'm not ordering you to do anything you don't want to do. I was simply asking you if I could bring up a discussion in a forum (I don't really know what it's called... on the CoD wikia, it's called a War Room, so I'll just refer to it as a forum) on a possible change. Note, I'm not ordering you or asking you to bend the rules. It seems to me like you're assuming things from me.

2) The thing is, if I did post my stuff on the Halo Fanon wikia, I would probably never visit there again. I was just putting one simple thing on my userpage, not writing a huge fanfiction. Plus, this wikia obviously has a better, more involved and more sophisticated establishment than a fanon wikia (at least, that's something I presume from pretty much every other experience I've had with fanon wikias). CopyPasta wouldn't really be the answer to my predicament...

3) This really isn't the same as I'm trying to get my point across. I'm saying, I'm not trying to majorly expand or make a huge fanfiction... if you had a community for fanon, or if you had these rules, could you have at least warned me? I just don't know... :s

4) Excuse me if this comes off as rude, but no admin is elected for a single purpose or for an absolute single section of a single guideline. That being said, admins weren't exactly elected for the sole purpose of making sure that people can't have original content on their userpages. If this comes out wrong, then I guess you can disregard this. This isn't that important.

5) Good day sir... :/ Might just be me, but that sounds awfully dismissive and... rude. It just might be me thinking about this video and his term of saying it... xD

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm not ordering you to do anything and I'm just kind of confused... but you seem pretty intent on dismantling me. :/ Corporal Juan José Rodriguez Reportin' for duty. 05:45, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Halopedia

Hey there. I am currently an Administrator on the Dragon Ball Wiki and was wondering, how you have configured all of these additional features, the customisation on the user pages. Like the Gifts, Xbox Live Gamertag, Add as Friend, Points and Rank System, Awards, overall look of user pages, Board, Statistics, Quiz's etc etc. Also, what is large interactive box that appears on this page? I would quite like to know about this. I'd really appreciate any information you can give me, if its not to much trouble. Many thanks. {{SUBST:User:SSJ4 Lewich/sig2}} 14:39, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Missile Warthog

I think we should keep the information relating to Halo: Reach's missile warthog, off of Mendez's page. It seems far more likely that it is a retcon on the older Warthog from Halo: Combat Evolved's PC port or an entirely new variant. Gunnery Sergeant Pete Stacker, UNSC Marine Corps

Hey again. It's José. You know, the guy who tried to put the fanon on his userpage.

I'm sorry for causing you trouble and I transferred the info to the halo fanon wikia. Thanks for being mature and understanding.

Editting Dispute

I've suggested a reasonable page merge, and User:Jugus and User:Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato removed the merge templates without discussion. I feel, that user is forcing their opinion and disrupting the progression of Halopedia. The pages are Fied, Joori, Qikost, Suban, and Urs. These pages are to be merged into Sangheilios.—This unsigned comment was made by Plasmic Physics (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

That's because they should not, and will not, be merged and it doesn't even need to be subject to discussion. It's like trying to merge Luna and Sol with Earth. They're separate astronomical objects and as such, deserve their own pages. The merge is just not going to happen, so you should let it go. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 00:33, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
That was my reasoning as well. This is not the first time you have made such merge proposals, and I would greatly suggest you stop. Jugus' argument summed it up well: they are separate celestial bodies and therefore are not a part of the same subject. If you would prefer to have further discussion on the matter, or you completely disagree with our reasoning, please state so on one of our talk pages. We don't need to incorporate any more people.--Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato 00:42, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

I will not be discussing this with you two as you've proven yourselves to be wholly unreasonable and undiplomatic about this matter, as such, I will be waiting for a reply from CommanderTony.--Plasmic Physics 00:58, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Just because we do not agree with you does not make us unreasonable. An administrator told you not to, and asking another administrator the same question does not change that fact. Not only is is somewhat childish, it is generally unacceptable. If you do not agree with an administrator's decision, it is not your place to continuously fight against it. I feel somewhat hypocritical as I say this, because I have done so as well... but learned my lesson. Please discuss the issue with the people who were involved, don't bring an unrelated party into the mix. I believe I have told you this numerous times before: people should add to the wiki, not take away from it. Please don't continue this manner of hostility, and try not to make an argument just by, frankly, insulting other users. If you don't agree with somebody's decision, don't report it to an administrator... attempt to be reasonable. We have given you multiple reasons why not to merge the articles, but you have not given one reason as to why we should. I don't believe us to be the ones who are being undiplomatic.--Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato 01:42, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Why do all of the annoying conversations end up on MY talk page? Don't ya'll have access to the IRC? User:CommanderTony/Sig

You're completely correct. I'd be happy to move this section onto my own page... That is, if Plasmic Physics hasn't used the IRC before. Sorry, this was the wrong place for it. I apologize.--Sangheili Commando 021: Fluffball Gato 01:58, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Um..

Why did you revert Emiles pic back to his old one? Emile looks different now, so surely we should use the newer picture? Helljumper U T C

Yeh, why'd you revert the pictures? Surely we should use the newer pictures, for example: Emile's skull is now blue not white anymore, Noble six doesn't have a HUL attachment on his helmet anymore and Carter looks like a completely different person! Okay i'm not happy about this right now. I can't believe you blocked me for a day, This is an outrage! You remove my edits for no good reason whatsoever, My infomation is not bad & crappy, It happens to be good & true, And then i demanded an explaination but no you would'nt listen you just had to remove my questioning and block me for a day! I demand you give me a good reason as to why you & some of your admin friendsmy are deleting my useful edits. *Crosses his arms with a mean look on his face waiting for an answer.* —This unsigned comment was made by Michaeldragon800 (talkcontribs). Your edits to Sangheili were poor quality and unnecessary. Just because it's true doesn't mean that there should be an entire section on it. Then you began an edit war with an administrator and continued to do so after two reasons were given. Afterwards, you edited the Halo: Reach article and changed weapon names despite administratorial ruling earlier that they should not be changed. You then carried on and so were blocked by CommanderTony. If you wish to discuss this matter with the community, use the Irk. Sign your edits.-- Forerunner 12:33, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
Forunner, IMO it would have helped if you specified a reason for the revert to the Sangheili page, rather than just pressing the rollback button (IIRC rollback is just for vandalism/bad faith additions). G35cpe 18:53, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Fanon?

Fanon? But userpages aren't an article. Nor Halo Canon.-  SPARTAN-A110|Phoenix Marathon

+ Halo: Revolution is not going to be an article on Halopedia. Its not like its worldwide or something Halo obsessed people should get.

Legendary planet

Not sure where to put this, so I put it here. On tot he matter I came to discuss. ON the Legendary Planet page, someone added an image that attempts a comparison between the nebula near reach, and the one near the legendary planet. I removed it, as it had only slight similarities. Someone else has put it back in, and to avoid and edit war, I thought I would bring it before an admin to decide what to do with the image. Thanks for your time. --DarkbelowHGR CommbandD 15:48, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Take note that Bungie chose to do Reach after Halo 3 was released; they were discussing whether to do Reach; a Halo 4 or a game not Halo at all. The nebula near Reach is in fact a coincidence, as Eric Nylund's 2003 novel "Halo: First Strike" involved Cortana hiding the Ascendant Justice in it to hide from Covenant detection. -- Forerunner 15:55, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

ONI Sword Base

Hi, Tony,

I saw that you deleted the page for "ONI Sword Base", the reputed third level of Reach, due to it not being a confirmed title for the level. When I watched the Gametrailers video, the wording of the sentence could have been interpreted to mean that it was indeed the name of the level - but then again, it was pretty ambiguous, and could have been interpreted as him referring to the name of the level or the setting.

Anyhow, I felt like the video contained a significant amount of information on the level that should be made into an article. Is there any way the article could either be labeled as having a conjectured title or just be named "Unnamed Third Level" or something similar? In short, can I resurrect the page and add all the new information to it?

Thanks,

Reach Talk Page

Hi,

I made a heading on the Halo Reach talk page and it was set up so non-admins could tell the admins small things that needed to be added or fixed (since the real page is blocked), and you removed it even though it got the Longhorn Valley added on the Halo Reach page. So why did you do that? You blocked the Reach page and we can't even have a place for small suggestions in the Talk page? Darb 013 02:47, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Policy regarding AI characters

Hello Tony,

I stopped by to ask you whether not there is a policy relating to how we will judge whether or not AI characters were killed during the Battle of Reach. Since the ability to see the names of your fellow soldiers is included in Reach, there will be a lot more new characters to add. I'm curious on how we will decide whether or not they died. For example, while Person A is playing, all their fellow soldiers live, where as Person B may lose them during the level. I'm just wondering what to put in the event I create an article on here for one of the soldiers in the game.

On another note, is there a template to add to a custom signature that automatically puts the date? Thanks. Template:Sgt.T.N.Biscuits/Sig

So?

So ummm... Can I please restore my userpage?
