Yapflip is allegedly an Unggoy and the brother of Flipyap.[1]
Production notes
Yapflip was mentioned in a piece of random dialogue in Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST; with the IWHBYD skull enabled, after an Unggoy witnesses the death of an ally, it may trigger a dialogue in which the Unggoy identifies his dead companion as Flipyap, then confusing Flipyap for Yapflip.[1][2] In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, there is an achievement with Flipyap's namesake for triggering this piece of dialogue.
