Shouldn't this also be called...Edit
Hey, isn't calling it the "beam rifle" the same thing as calling it a particle beam rifle? Maybe it should be changed to "particle beam rifle, or beam rifle for short"? Or is there a reason why it shouldn't be called that? Your thoughts? --Xamikaze330 13:42, 14 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330
Halo WarsEdit
What's that Halo Wars reference all about? Number 3, in support of it being seen as early as 2531? I would assume that the Jackal Snipers in Halo Wars have a weapon modeled after the Type-50 Beam Rifle, since this one didn't exist at the time. --86.29.7.17 22:14, 29 April 2014 (EDT)
- That's right. Jackal snipers in Halo Wars indeed use Type-50 beam rifles. The reference simply points out that the Type-50 was already in use circa 2531, even though it wouldn't be cataloged for another nineteen years. It was added to keep people from making erroneous conclusions such as, "If the T27 is older than the T50, why is the newer model in Halo Wars?" In a nutshell, the year of designation doesn't always equal the year of first sighting; consider the fuel rod gun (2531/2533) and the Covie carbine (2526/2551), not to mention several other instances. --Our vengeance is at hand. PictureEdit
Switched to the Halo 4 image because the render from Halo 2A has ingame lighting on it making the image look bad.--The Master Builder (talk) 15:43, 9 August 2015 (EDT)
