Summary

Prolonged exposure to plasma radiation can cause this degenerative neurological disease, which seems to affect humans only. It is usually fatal without treatment, but is curable if discovered early enough. Neural pathways tend to remain altered even in surviving patients. Sergeant Johnson developed this sickness after a long period of exposure to a crate of unexploded plasma grenades. Survivors of Boren syndrome are immune to Flood infection, as they cannot force a match with their neural pathways and the victim's.
