Pious Rampage was a CAS-class assault carrier serving the Covenant and flagship of the Fleet of Inexorable Obedience near the start of the Human-Covenant War. It was commanded by then-Fleetmaster Nizat 'Kvarosee.[6]
History
Etalan
- Main article: Attack on Etalan
By 2526, Pious Rampage was leading the Fleet of Inexorable Obedience in their attack of the human colony Etalan. The fleet succesfully managed to glass 47,912 settlements on the surface before electing to fire upon the shield volcano on the planet's surface, plunging the planet into a nuclear winter and allowing the fleet to move on.[6]
Biko
- Main article: Battle of Biko
Pious Rampage lead the Battle of Biko in March 2526. Following attacks made by the SPARTAN-IIs over Netherop and Chi Ceti IV, the 'Kvarosee elected to use the fleet's fighter complements to maintain a tight picket around the capital ships rather than attack the enemy, preventing the ODSTs of the 21st Space Assault Battalion from boarding the ships and planting nuclear weapons aboard them.
Zhoist
- Main article: Attack on Zhoist
At 'Kvarosee's order, Pious Rampage and the fleet returned to Zhoist following the successful UNSC counterattack at Etalan. Pious Rampage led the Covenant defense of Zhoist, but was ultimately unable to prevent the destruction of the Ring of Mighty Abundance and Ten Cities of Edification.[7] The Pious Rampage was one of the few vessels to survive the Attack on Zhoist which decimated the Fleet of Inexorable Obedience.[8] Over the next two decades of conflict the assault carrier would grow to be known as one of the most fearful inspiring vessels in the Covenant armada.
