Biological or constructEdit
“ | A Preceptor was a Forerunner who had refined and specialized their body and mind to become a living paragon of scientific, artistic, or martial skill.[1] Preceptors were considered to be tier-two Peacemakers, powerful constructs used to enforce the Forerunners' vision of the Mantle of Responsibility on the galaxy. Along with Guardian Custodes, Preceptors were charge with monitoring and fencing off the activity of lesser species within pocket empires.[2] | ” |
Isn't the article contradicting itself a bit there? First saying that Preceptors were specialized Forerunners and then mentioning that they were "constructs". To be fair, Warfleet does this too, though I think the mention in the "Peacemakers" section doesn't necessarily have to mean the Preceptors were also constructs, though that seems to be the implication. Maybe there's both a specialized class of Forerunners and a type of policing machine with the same name? --Jugus (talk) 10:51, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
- Nothing was said in Warfleet reviews or in email correspondence at the time of these reviews. My read of the usage would be similar to how Guilty Spark was formerly a person and then a construct. If I can get an answer from someone at 343i I'll make a further post here. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 19:10, 11 September 2018 (EDT)
- I agree the article seems contradictory, but that's how Warfleet describes the Preceptors. I suppose we can leave it for now until we get any further information. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 00:21, 12 September 2018 (EDT)
