Merge with Thel 'Vadam
This Arbiter is clearly Thel 'Vadam as he claims to have "silenced Truth" in his intro dialogue. Thel 'Vadam is the Arbiter who killed the Prophet of Truth. No other Arbiter was involved in killing the Prophet of Truth. I'm aware that the developers have said in an interview that he's supposed to be an amalgam of different Arbiters, but this is contradicted by what he says in the game, so it should be disregarded. For these reasons, I think this article should be merged with Thel 'Vadam. --49.177.229.185 05:40, 12 September 2018 (EDT)
- I disagree. If the devs have said algamation. And that this character is in the Killer Instinct universe. Then there is little need for us to merge the pages together. As the Arbiter in the KI universe might have done similar stuff to Thel in the actual Halo Universe, but it doesnt mean they are one the same.-CIA391 (talk) 09:30, 12 September 2018 (EDT)
- One dev may have said he's an amalgam, but whoever wrote his dialogue clearly had something else in mind. The Arbiter saying he silenced Truth is more than enough to identify him, in my opinion.
- Here's what the dev said: So our KI Arbiter is in some ways an amalgam of Arbiters past, as well as more modern Sangheili warriors. And further, like Spartan Nicole-458 from Dead or Alive 4, it helped to insert a subtle canonical buffer between their game and ours, so that players aren’t scratching their heads when the Covenant’s historical champion is fighting a Battletoad in Chicago...
- It seems clear to me that this dev only says the Arbiter is an amalgam to stop canon-obsessed fans from worrying about how Killer Instinct fits into Halo canon. And if he is an amalgam, then why doesn't the article mention which other Arbiters he's an amalgamation of? --49.177.229.185 06:26, 13 September 2018 (EDT)
I agree. This quote makes it explicit that he's Thel 'Vadam.
- "I have fought with honor, endured the brand of shame, dealt out vengeance, even at the threshold of oblivion, I stood against false Truth and the all consuming flood, but now new foes have arisen"
- — This Arbiter shares the same history as Thel Vadam[1]
