M370 Autocannon ImageEdit

Main article: Talk:M638 Autocannon

M370 Autocannon--This is just to make decisions be faster and easier to make.

Hopefully the above link will help out with the image issue for this article. I'm still looking around for a better screenshot to manipulate in Photoshop, but not too much luck though. Will keep trying and looking. FYI, I posted the image I uploaded here, on the right. Xamikaze330 12:44, 1 September 2011 (EDT)Xamikaze330

Btw, does anyone know how what this weapon's rate of fire is? I know there is a glitch where one can pilot the Pelican and use its chin gun. I'm guessing it's rate of fire is the same as the M638 (five-round bursts), but I can't be sure, as I do not currently own an Xbox 360 along with Halo: Reach, which therefore keeps me from attempting the glitch, mostly due in part to my apparently inability to get a job, not that it really matters. Knowing the rate of fire would be nice and much appreciated. Xamikaze330 13:06, 3 September 2011 (EDT)Xamikaze330

Pelican Chaingun in Halo LegendsEdit

Hey, does anybody know what kind of chaingun or autocannon that was mounted on the Pelican Dropship in Halo Legends: Homecoming? I couldn't quite get a good look at it, but I will be sure to try again, and maybe while I'm at it, I'll take a couple of screenshots or more than a couple to be placed either here or in the 40mm chain gun article, depending on if anyone can watch the scene over again and maybe identify it. Please feel free to take a couple screenshots before I do, as I'll try to do it when I have the time to spare. Presently, I don't feel like watching it right now, but maybe some other time. Furthermore, I think any and all necessary data on this chin-mounted weapon should also be included here or in the 40mm chaingun article. Lastly, please let me know what kind of weapon it is, in case nobody takes a couple screenshots or so, so that when I do get around to taking the screenshots, I'll know where exactly to put them. But I may just change my mind and get it over with. --Xamikaze330 22:03, 29 November 2011 (EST)Xamikaze330

Turns out I decided to change my mind and get it over with. My verdict: it is definitely not, repeat, not the M370 Autocannon. Neither is it a possible variant of the M638 Autocannon either. My belief is that it is probably most likely to be the 40mm chaingun, though that may also be a long shot that it actually is. I've taken the screenshots, so no need for anyone else to do it. Now all I have to do is upload them to Halopedia, and find a place, an article, to post them. I'd still appreciate it if someone else would go look into what this weapon may possibly be. I'll keep looking around myself, but more help would be appreciated. --Xamikaze330 22:21, 29 November 2011 (EST)Xamikaze330

Rate of FireEdit

Has anyone performed the Flyable Pelican and Phantom Easter egg? If so, I think someone should add the information on the rate of fire for the M370 Autocannon. By that I mean, like is it a three-round burst-fire kind of weapon like the M638 Autocannon, or is it something a little different? I currently don't have any information that I can find on my own to add, so someone should this important piece of information. --Xamikaze330 16:25, 9 December 2011 (EST)Xamikaze330

Here ya go. Scroll down to see Mythic Tyrant's use of the turret in the Playable Pelican Turret on Long Night of Solace, which is a similar Easter Egg. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 17:20, 9 December 2011 (EST)

Chaingun in Halo 2Edit

Older variant of M370?

While it is not stated directly in the Halo: Essential Visual Guide, it could be implied that maybe that the as-yet-to-identified weapon mounted on the Pelican's chin in Halo 2 might possibly be an older variant of the M370 Autocannon. Anyone else think the same? --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 22:35, 6 November 2013 (EST)Xamikaze330
